Sardinia & Corsica
La Maddalena archipelago, Bonifacio, Blue Zone cuisine — the most dramatic sailing in the Mediterranean.
The Destination
Sardinia & Corsica
Sardinia and Corsica offer some of the most dramatic sailing in the Mediterranean. Our 7-day route takes you from Olbia through the La Maddalena archipelago — a UNESCO-protected national park — across the Strait of Bonifacio to Corsica's Lavezzi Islands, with stops at hidden coves, thalasso spas, and local wine cellars.
Sardinia is one of the world's five Blue Zones, and every meal on board reflects this tradition of longevity-focused cuisine. The water clarity in La Maddalena has to be seen to be believed — turquoise, transparent, and often completely untouched by other boats.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Define the Journey

Hidden Bays
Sail secluded coves and crystal-clear waters of the Maddalena Islands — anchorages accessible only by sea.

Local Cuisine
Visit Tavolara island for fresh mussels straight from the sea. Taste Sardinian specialties and Corsican wines, paired with the best view anywhere.

Slow Sailing
Sail at a relaxed pace — no rush, no schedule. Watch the sun go down over the Tyrrhenian Sea or the cliffs of Bonifacio with a glass in hand.

Wellness at Sea
Sunrise yoga on a white sand beach, meditation on deck, or a visit to the Thalasso Spa in Sardinia. The week gives you space to actually slow down.

Vincent's Take on Sardinia & Corsica
“The Strait of Bonifacio in the afternoon light — that crossing never gets old. One moment you're in Italy, the next you're somewhere that feels ancient and completely different. That's the thing about this route: it has a rhythm that builds across the week.”
Vincent
Founder & Skipper · Naveo
Vincent has sailed this route over 30 times. Every departure refines the itinerary — which bays are worth staying longer, where to get the best food ashore, and when to leave early to catch the wind.
Insider Stops
Cala Granara, La Maddalena
Arrive before 10am. By midday the bay fills up. Early morning it's just you, the water, and a few curious fish.
Tavolara Island
Stop at the small osteria on the waterfront for mussels. They come straight from the lagoon. Order the bruschetta too.
Bonifacio, Corsica
Walk up into the citadel in the evening when the day-trippers have left. Dinner at Le Voilier — ask for a table outside.
Lavezzi Islands
The snorkelling on the eastern side of Île Lavezzi is unlike anything else on this route. Bring the underwater camera.
Porto Cervo Waterfront
A morning coffee watching the superyachts is free. Save the restaurants for the smaller bays — better food, half the price.
Planning Your Trip
Best Time to Sail Sardinia & Corsica
June
Peak SeasonWarm seas, steady Mistral from the north. Bays still quiet before the crowds arrive.
July
Peak SeasonFull summer conditions. Hot, blue, and busy. Book early — spots fill in January.
Aug
High SeasonWarmest water of the year. Popular bays crowded at anchor — arrive early or sail further.
Sept
Best ValueOur favourite month. Warm sea, calmer winds, emptier bays. The crowds have gone home.
Oct
ShoulderCooler evenings, changeable wind. Still very sailable. Fewer options for shore dining.
May
Early SeasonSpring colours and no queues. Sea temperature around 18°C — refreshing rather than warm.
Practical note —Olbia Airport (OLB) is the most convenient arrival point — 20 minutes from the marina. We always start and end in Olbia. For the Bonifacio crossing, we monitor weather closely; if conditions are rough we route through the calmer western passage instead.
